Moving with the Season, Not Against It

Let your practice evolve with the light...

Nature never rushes its transitions.

The trees don’t apologize for shedding leaves. The flowers don’t bloom in January because someone expects them to.Yet we often hold our practice to the same standard year-round—same pace, same expectations, same intensity.

What if your yoga evolved with the season instead?

As light increases, you might feel called toward longer flows, open-air practices, or standing sequences that build warmth. As evenings soften, restorative shapes may feel more aligned.

This isn’t inconsistency. It’s intelligence.

Seasonal practice means asking:
What does my body need now?
What does this time of year awaken in me?

In brighter months, you may focus on expansion—side stretches, heart openers, balancing poses that challenge your steadiness. You may take your mat outdoors. You may breathe deeper simply because the air feels different.

Yoga is a living relationship. When you move with the season rather than resisting it, your practice becomes less rigid and more responsive.

Let the light guide you.
Let your rhythm shift.
Let evolution be part of the practice.

You don’t have to stay the same to stay devoted.
