From The Heart

Yoga didn’t just support me - it transformed how I met myself in joy and pain. It became the thread I followed back to my body, my breath, and a deeper kind of knowing.

Each class I share reflects my own journey - one shaped by loss, growth, and the ongoing quest of returning to my most authentic self.

My hope is that you will find comfort, feel safe, and be gently restored through our shared practice.

My Yoga Journey

My path toward yoga began in 2014, during a time of profound loss. After the sudden passing of my sister, I became untethered, going through the motions, numb. One day, I was unknowingly guided to a yoga studio near my office. I wasn’t looking for transformation--I just wanted a place to breathe.

That studio became a quiet sanctuary, a place where I started to remember and find my old self again. The studio felt like stepping into stillness. The hum of breath, the soft light, and the quiet presence of others offered a sense of safety I hadn’t known I needed. Beneath the grief, beneath the exhaustion, I began to sense something more stable—something still alive. What started as a search for peace quickly evolved into a transformative experience of emotional, mental, and spiritual renewal.

It was there that I met my teacher, Umā Devī, whose fierce love and quiet wisdom showed me the power of being truly seen and accepted. Her belief in me inspired me to share this practice with others, spreading healing and presence just as she did for me. Through her teachings, I learned that yoga isn’t just about the poses; it’s about listening to the body, honoring the breath, and cultivating stillness within.

Coming Back to the Mat

After a long pause, yoga returned to me in 2023. I began my 200-hour yoga teacher certification under Umā’s mentorship and started easing back into the rhythm of daily life.

But once again, life had other plans.

During a retreat that same year, I lost my husband unexpectedly. In that devastation and dark time, yoga arrived - not as something to do, but something to help me. Not to fix me, but to stay with me.

Yoga became a lifeline, an anchor, holding me in ways I never thought possible. What began as a practice of rejuvenation turned into a daily devotion - a way to navigate the challenges of life and return to myself.

My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching is deeply connected to my own journey: where stillness meets sorrow, where breath makes space for becoming, and where the body remembers. I strive to create a space where you can feel safe to explore, heal, and find peace, just as I did and continue to do on my mat.

Whether you’re grieving from loss, seeking personal growth, or looking for a moment of calmness, know that you are not alone. Healing doesn’t arrive all at once - it shows up in small moments - in the pause before a pose, in the breath that softens the edges of a hard day. Yoga is the act of showing up - even when it’s hard - and learning to trust the process.

Yoga is a sacred journey that I’m honored to share with others. If you seek restoration, emotional healing, or a space to breathe and be, I invite you to join me.

Together, we will create a sanctuary for our mind, body, and soul.
